RURAL CRAFT

When the weather won't let us work outside, we get creative with our resources around Beckside. We structure activities to make the link between the natural raw materials we have and how they can be used to make food, shelter, warmth and decorations.

Some of these activities include, cooking with ingredients we have foraged or grown. Using Alpaca fleeces to create felt decorations. Hedge laying using traditional methods and skills to maintain our animal paddocks.Gathering and sawing fallen branches to make sticks and logs to use on our fire pit for cooking or warmth.
